To become familiar with historical mathematicians, and obtain a clearer view of mathematical concepts and their origins

Many people throughout history have made significant contributions to the world of mathematics as we know it today.

discuss any other significant awards, honors, or accomplishments of the mathematician in other areas of study

You will need to take the "Mathematicians are People Too" Quiz. This quiz will match you with a mathematician of similar interests. This will be the mathematician which you research. You will need to print the results of this quiz to turn in with your final product.
After you have taken the quiz, you will begin researching the mathematician. You may use the internet and other traditional styles of research.

The following information about the mathematician should be included:

Birth/Death
Family Life/Upbringing
Education
Mathematical Accomplishments
Awards/Accomplishments in other areas of his/her Life

Once you have compiled the information about the mathematician, you will prepare a Power point Presentation. This presentation will take place during class on the assigned day.

You must include a photo of the mathematician, and include at least 5 different slides in the presentation.
